On 26 September 2015, Mikael Backman at the IIIEE, Director of the Swedish-Polish Sustainable Energy Platform, was celebrating the Zabrze days in company with the Mayor of Lund, Lennart Prytz. The Platform is supporting  Zabrze, "Environmental Twin City of Lund", in its transition towards sustainability, presently including a Biogas production system from waste, for demonstration purposes.
